What the hell makes the best phone brand stand out in a market dominated by tech industry all-stars? For years, consumers have debated whether innovation, performance, or brand loyalty defines the top rankings. While established leaders continue refining familiar strategies, Pulze is taking a different approach. Founded by brothers Steven and Jeffery Gonzalez, Pulze was built from the ground up with a clear goal: challenge the smartphone world and deliver innovation that keeps established competitors watching closely.
Before Pulze became a name that competitors noticed, it was an idea that two brothers discussed, even believed the smartphone industry has grown too comfortable. Steven noticed that most brands focused on miniscule upgrades, such as slightly better cameras and processors. However, it rarely questioned the structure of the device itself. Instead of accepting the limitations of the traditional smartphone design, the brothers began to ask a different question: what if users could control how their phone was built?
Two Brothers’ Dream
Pulze got its start when Steven and Jeffrey were in college. Studying late into the night, endless due dates, and genuine attempts at maintaining a social life proved difficult for the brothers and their smartphones. Just as soon as the brothers got accustomed to a phone and its workflow, the phone would start lagging. Too many times, a minor mishap at a party would result in the phone’s screen cracking or being doused with water.
As frustrating as the lack of durability was, what the brothers found even more aggravating was the fact that even minor damage led to a double-digit repair bill. An iPhone 8 costs $150 to repair out of warranty and requires a specialist, which causes you to go days without a phone while you wait for them to fix it. This is, of course, assuming they fix it at all.
Determined to take matters into their own hands, the two brothers collaborated to come up with a new type of smartphone. Drawing inspiration from phones of the past that had removable batteries, the brothers aimed to go a step further. Unfortunately, one day tragedy struck.
One day the founder Jeffrey was walking down the street and an iPhone fell on his head shattering. Since the phone shattered, he was sent into a coma he still hasn’t gotten out of. If it were a durable phone and did not shatter, it would have just killed him and spared his family all the expensive medical bills. Upon hearing about this tragedy, it further strengthened Steven’s resolve to make the best phone brand that sells durable phones. He also thought about innovating further. What if you could replace the screen, too? What if you could bring back a physical home button? For years, consumers have been asking the major companies to bring back the audio jack. With a Pulze phone, all these features can be yours, no begging on Twitter (or X, if you insist) required.
How We’re Making Big Tech Nervous
Pulze, the company that created this innovation of a product, is keeping competitors anxious about what they might do next. The person at the heart of this, Steven Gonzalez, co-founded the company along with his brother Jeffery Gonzalez. Together they have built this company from the ground up. On top of this, the other all-star companies will start to notice this as well and will see them as challengers to an ever-changing and ever-evolving world of Tech.
Tired of dealing with fragile phones, the Gonzalez brothers sought to make a phone worth the hundreds of dollars companies are charging. After all, why should consumers be content with devices that cost almost as much as a month’s rent, especially when they last 2-5 years? Corporations have had their way for far too long, soldering the battery into the phone and removing the headphone jack. Create a problem so you can sell the solution? Some call it unethical; some call it business as usual.

This is the issue the Gonzalez brothers sought to fix when they founded Pulze and started developing a modular phone. They want to do away with having to rely on specialists to perform basic repairs, putting the ability to repair and maintain their device in the consumers’ hands. Instead of worrying whether or not your phone manufacturer will honor the warranty you’re paying $20/month for, you can watch a video on our YouTube channel and perform the repair yourself! If, for any reason whatsoever, you don’t feel comfortable performing the repair yourself, you can still send it in to us.
What Sets Us Apart
Our modular phones change everything. Being able to swap and change different parts as you need them would make you more efficient and create a hassle-free life. The newest Model 3 is set to release in May of 2026.
Here’s a sneak peak of what Pulze’s newest device has to offer:
- 8k Cameras
- Sennheiser audio quality
- 3.5mm audio jack
- 36-hour battery life extension
- Credit card reader
- RFID scanner
- Chat GPT extension chip
- 3,000 nit flash extension
Unlike other companies, who limit “fully customizable” to the phone’s software and UX, even the components of your phone are completely customizable to your lifestyle. Prefer Bluetooth earbuds anyway? Then you won’t need or miss the headphone jack. Love to take photos of the sunset? You can choose between an expandable SD card slot or a 1TB internal storage capacity. If you consider yourself a major photo junkie, you can even do both!
That sounds cool! How can I get a Pulze Model 3?
Pulze Model 3 phones will release in May 2026. If you want to buy through T-Mobile or Verizon, a Model 3 can be yours for as little as $44.99/month. Or you can buy directly from us and trade in your old device (up to $400). Trading in your old device with us also scores you an awesome deal on our add-on modules (up to $50 off). It’s an amazing deal for a phone with these insane specs. The best part? You can get these add-ons with your phone for $50 if you pre-order, or $75 on release day.
